Gail Bernstein, a teacher at L.I.N.K.S High School in Ahuntsic, is the only Quebecer to be recognized with the Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence. The Prime Minister’s National Awards for Teaching Excellence have recognized exceptional elementary and secondary school teachers in all disciplines since 1994, with over 1,700 teachers honoured to date. The English Montreal School Board now boasts the highest Success Rate in Graduation and Qualification among public school boards in the province of Quebec, based on a seven year cohort at 91.6 percent. These figures were released by the Ministère de l’éducation. While the majority of students graduated after five years, the Ministry allows each
