EMSB adopts balanced budget
The Council of Commissioners of the English Montreal School Board has adopted a balanced budget, with revenues of $438.5 million for the 2024-2025 academic year.
EMSB prepares for 2024-25 academic year
Students of the English Montreal School Board’s (EMSB) primary and secondary institutions will return to class on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Kindergarten children must be five years of age on or before September 30, 2024 while Grade 1 (Cycle 1) students must be six years old on or before the same date.
Rosemount Technology Centre Launches New Carpentry Program
The Rosemount Technology Centre (RTC), renowned for its comprehensive vocational studies programs, is proud to announce an exciting new addition: an intensive 705-hour carpentry course.
Significant increase to 95.9 percent. EMSB continues to boast the highest success rate among both public and private sectors.
“We can take great pride in the fact that we exceeded the average of both public and private schools,” added EMSB Director General Nick Katalifos.

French Immersion

Bilingualism has many cognitive benefits that go beyond those of language acquisition such as heightened mental flexibility, creative thinking skills, enhanced metalinguistic awareness as well as greater communicative sensitivity.
