Special EMSB offer for Alouettes game August 21
Join the English Montreal School Board at the Thursday, August 21 CFL game between the host Montreal Alouettes and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McGill ‘s Percival Molson Stadium.
EMSB prepares for 2025-26 academic year
Students of the English Montreal School Board’s (EMSB) primary and secondary institutions will return to class on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Kindergarten children must be five years of age on or before September 30, 2025 while Grade 1 (Cycle 1) students must be six years old on or before the same date.
EMSB joins QESBA’s legal challenge to protect all Quebec students from budget cuts
The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) has resolved to join the Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA) in a legal challenge against the Quebec government’s 2025-2026 budgetary rules, which impose severe cuts and restrictive conditions that threaten educational services for all students across Quebec.
Back to School 2025-2026
The first day of class for most elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025. Please note that in many elementary schools Pre-K and/or Kindergarten students follow a progressive entry schedule. Contact your child's school for more information.

The aim of the Physical Education and Health program at Merton is to help our students to develop the skills, knowledge, and values needed to establish and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.

We believe that technology offers tremendous opportunities for learning, infinitely expands the walls of the classroom, and makes available wonderful resources that our students can and should take advantage of.
