Student of the Month for February: Luca Maciostra, Westmount High School
The EMSB Student of the Month for February is Luca Maciostra, a Grade 11 student from Westmount High School. Luca is known to be a well-spoken, insightful, and intellectually curious learner. He is self-reliant, highly motivated, and respected by both peers and faculty for his kindness, diligence, and broad academic excellence.

CRC Robotics is thrilled to announce MØ-DUEL 2026, the highly anticipated 25th anniversary edition of Canada’s premier, bilingual, multidisciplinary student robotics competition, taking place February 18–21, 2026 at the St. Pius X Career Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
EMSB Kicks Off K4 and K5 Registration Campaign with The Beat 92.5 FM
The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) officially launched its Kindergarten for Four- and Five-Year-Olds (K4 & K5) registration campaign on January 19 at Cedarcrest Elementary School in Saint-Laurent.
School Transportation Safety Campaign
The school bus safety campaign is from January 26th to February 6th, 2026. Test your safety knowledge, with interactive games and videos on the Bus Carriers Federation website. 

French Immersion

Bilingualism has many cognitive benefits that go beyond those of language acquisition such as heightened mental flexibility, creative thinking skills, enhanced metalinguistic awareness as well as greater communicative sensitivity.

The aim of the Physical Education and Health program at Merton is to help our students to develop the skills, knowledge, and values needed to establish and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.

We believe that technology offers tremendous opportunities for learning, infinitely expands the walls of the classroom, and makes available wonderful resources that our students can and should take advantage of.
