Mental Health and Wellness Day
On October 14, FACE High School held a Mental Health and Wellness Day-Fair dedicated to promoting student well-being, encouraging positive connections, and raising awareness about the importance of mental health among young people.
Bancroft Mural
Bancroft Elementary School in the Plateau and Principal Gaetano Sifoni were absolutely thrilled to announce that thanks to Carla Batista and the Cycle 2 and 3 French teachers, Mme Geneviève and Mme Sandra, they were able to invite Philippe Mastrocola, a Montreal born artist, through the Artists Inspire grant to work on two different murals with the students, enriching the French arts curriculum.
Student of the Month for September
The Student of the Month for September was Aria Calla, a Grade 5 student from Edinburgh School. Aria has demonstrated extraordinary courage, resilience, and positivity while fighting a brain aneurysm.
Grandparents Day
Pierre de Coubertin opened its doors to some very special guests on September 18 as students welcomed their grandparents for a heartwarming celebration of the special bond they share.
French Immersion
Bilingualism has many cognitive benefits that go beyond those of language acquisition such as heightened mental flexibility, creative thinking skills, enhanced metalinguistic awareness as well as greater communicative sensitivity.
Physical Education
The aim of the Physical Education and Health program at Merton is to help our students to develop the skills, knowledge, and values needed to establish and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.
Science & Technology & Robotics
We believe that technology offers tremendous opportunities for learning, infinitely expands the walls of the classroom, and makes available wonderful resources that our students can and should take advantage of.
